Thanks for your order!
We're super happy that you chose www.usaprepaidsimcard.com.au for your upcoming USA trip.
There is very important information about your order set-out below so please read everything below. The information below will also be sent to you via email. You might want to bookmark this page for future reference.
When will you receive your sim card?
The USA Sim Card network provider AT&T imposes restrictions upon how early a sim card can be activated prior to its first use. The USA mobile number is only allocated to the sim card when it is activated. So this means we can't dispatch phone sim cards until they are activated.
If you purchased a phone sim card, and your nominated departure date is less than 21 days away, we dispatch Express Post orders on the next business day, and we dispatch Registered Post orders approximately 10-15 business days prior to your nominated departure date (meaning you should expect your sim card to be delivered by Australia Post 5-10 business days prior to your nominated departure date).
If you purchased a phone sim card, and your nominated departure date is more than 21 days away, we are restricted by the USA mobile carrier AT&T as to how far in advance prior to first use, the sim card can be activated. We can't send you your sim card until we activate it because that's when the USA mobile number is allocated: so your sim card will be dispatched approximately 5-10 business days prior to your nominated departure date.
If you require your phone sim card sent to you immediately please click here to read more information about how to receive your sim card early.
If you purchased an iPad, Tablet or Hotspot sim card, it will be dispatched on the next business day.
Important information about using your USA sim card
Now that you've placed your order, click here to read the instructions on how to setup your sim card - it's mandatory that you read all of the information.
If you purchased a sim card for your mobile phone, you must ensure that your phone is network unlocked or your USA sim card won't work. Click here to read more about unlocking your phone. In particular please be aware that unlocking your iPhone requires you to connect it to iTunes and perform a full backup and restore, or else your iPhone won't be unlocked. If you arrive into the USA and your phone is locked, the USA sim card won't work, we can't help you to unlock your phone and you won't get a refund.
If you purchased a sim card for your iPad, Tablet, Hotspot or USB Modem, please note that it comes to you unactivated and without credit or a data plan - you'll need to activate it and purchase a data plan once you receive the sim card - click here to read what you need to do.
Did you know that you can't call Australia on any of the phone sim card plans, unless you added an international call pack add-on? You also can't call an Australia Post Travel Sim or a Woolworths Travel Sim. You'll only be able to call Australia (or other non-USA numbers) if you added the $14 International Landline Call Pack (for calls only to Australian landlines) or the $35 International Mobile Call Pack (for calls to both Australian mobiles and landlines) or Extra Credit (to call or text Australia Post Travel Sim or a Woolworths Travel Sim). To read more about calling Australia and the International Call Pack (including how to buy it now if you forgot it) as well as information about how to call Australian mobiles, please click here.
