We're sorry to hear about the spam/marketing phone calls you've experienced using a SIM Card from usaprepaidsimcard.com.au.

First, we want to assure you that every SIM Card we sell is brand new and is allocated a new phone number. However, in a country of over 300 million people, mobile numbers, must, at some point, be re-used (otherwise they'd run out!). When we activate your SIM Card it's allocated a new number by AT&T, but that number could have been used at some point in the past, and is then re-allocated to a new activation after being placed in quarantine for a period of time.

Even when a new number is allocated, you might still receive phone calls or text messages from telemarketers or call or texts addressed to someone else.

If you've been receiving calls or texts addressed to someone else it might be because someone else had your number in the past and hasn't updated it with a particular company. Or perhaps someone is being chased for a debt and intentionally gave the debt collector a wrong number. Unfortunately there's no way to prevent this from happening.

If you've been receiving calls or texts from telemarketers it's because telemarketers use "robocalls" to promote their products. Robocalls use a computerised autodialer to make literally thousands of outbound calls and texts at the same timeto randomly generated phone numbers. Some of the numbers will connect, some won't answer, and some will be wrong numbers - but in the end the telemarketer still gets to market their product to some people. Did you know that the New York Times reported recently that experts estimate that nearly 50% of phones call made in the USA are spam calls.

Did you know It's easy to block unwanted calls/texts on your phone? If you have an iPhone just follow these instructions on the Apple website. If you have an Android phone just follow these instructionsor do a Google search for your specific phone and how to block numbers.
