The USA sim card will work in the USA, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. If your cruise ship is visiting these areas then the sim card will work when you are on land, and possibly outside on the deck of your cruise ship.
A customer recently reported to us the following:
We have just returned from our holiday in the USA and Caribbean and thought I would let you know how your sim card performed. During the cruise in the Caribbean I found it also worked in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Internet only worked when the ship was in port. I could connect on the ship, but only when I was outside on a deck. I could not connect while inside the ship, maybe they have some sort of blocker so people are forced to use the ship internet, very expensive.
Most cruise ships have their own micro network available only to post paid/contract customers.
