We understand, however, that sometimes your purchase may not be what you expected it to be. In that event, we invite you to review the following terms related to returning a product.

The rights described below are in addition to the statutory rights to which you may be entitled under the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable Australian consumer protection laws and regulations.


Your purchase from www.usaprepaidsimcard.com.au comprises (i) the cost of the sim card for $45 and (ii) the cost of your plan and any extras.

I bought a phone sim card and I have already left for the USA.

No - we can't refund the cost of the sim card because it has already been activated in your name, and we can't re-use it.

No - we can't refund the cost of the plan and any extras because it was already loaded onto your sim card on the departure date you nominated in your order.
I'm already in the USA and I want to change to a different plan (eg I purchased the USA Saver Plan which has no data and now I want the USA Extreme Plan which does have data).  N/A No - we can't refund the cost of the plan you originally purchased, and it cannot be credited towards another plan.  You'll need to pay the full amount of the new plan you want.
I bought an iPad, Tablet, Hotspot or USB Modem sim card and I haven't yet left for the USA. It depends on whether or not you have activated your sim card.  

If you have not activated your sim card, then yes we can refund the cost of the sim card (we'll refund after you return the sim card to us and we check that it hasn't been activated).

If you have activated your sim card, then no we cannot refund the cost of the sim card because it has already been activated in your name, and we can't re-use it.

My trip to the USA has been postponed. If your trip to the USA has been postponed, we may be able to change the date on which your plan commences.  You must email us at help@usaprepaidsimcard.com.au at least 48 hours prior to the date you nominated in your order as your departure date.

If you do not notify us before the departure date you nominated in your order then we cannot extend the date that your plan starts, but you might be able to purchase another plan.

If your trip to the USA has been cancelled and you didn't notify us, then you might be able to claim the cost of your sim card and plan against your travel insurance policy.  We are happy to provide any reasonable documentation you may require to assist in any travel insurance claim.
