Australia Post TravelSim offer a good product if you're travelling through lots of different countries and don't have time to get a local sim card in each country.
However, if you're spending more than a few days in the USA, we think it's better to get a sim card from www.usaprepaidsimcard.com.au for the following reasons:
- TravelSim data costs $0.25 for 1MB! That's $250 for just 1GB of data! In contrast, the USA Canada and Mexico Extreme Plan with www.usaprepaidsimcard.com.au (which costs a total of $134) gives you 6GB data, and you have the option of buying extra data too! Think about how much data you're going to need to use Google Maps, Email, Facebook, FaceTime, Skype, Viber etc etc
- It costs $0.25/min to make a call OR receive a call with TravelSim. In contrast, on the USA Extreme Plan you get unlimited free calls to USA numbers
- It costs $0.25 to send a text with TravelSim. In contrast, our sim cards come with unlimited free texts to USA numbers and Australian numbers.
- TravelSim give you a mobile number from the country of Estonia or Australia.
