Choose either the USA Canada and Mexico Extreme Plan or the USA Canada and Mexico Max Plan if you have a Smartphone.  You'll get:

  • A local USA mobile number you can add to your hotel and flight bookings, give to airport transfers and tour operators etc.  If they need to call you they'll just be calling a local USA number;

  • Lots of data for apps, maps, email, Whatsapp, Viber, Skype etc etc etc;

  • Unlimited free calls to & from USA, Canada and Mexico landline and USA, Canada and Mexico mobile numbers;

  • Unlimited free calls to & from other people using our USA Sim Card;

  • Unlimited free text messages to & from USA, Canada and Mexico mobile numbers;

  • Unlimited free text messages to & from other people using our USA Sim Card;

  • Unlimited free text messages to & from Australian mobiles or mobiles in over 100 other countries - see the full list by clicking here - please note that anyone from Australia or another country who texts you will pay the cost of an international text message; and

  • Unlimited free incoming calls and texts from anywhere which means that if people back home call or text you, then you don't pay anything! People back home will of course pay the cost of an international call/text if they call/text you (since you'll have a USA number).

This plan does NOT give any calls back to Australia or to other countries.  If you need to call Australia you can add on the International Landline Call Pack (for calls to Australian landlines) or the International Mobile Call Pack (for calls to Australian mobiles and landlines).  Click here to read more.

What's your recommendation for me?

We find that a lot of customers go through a lot of data.

Since you'll be away from home (and your home wi-fi) and using your phone's data more for maps, Facebook, Instagram, email etc etc, you might find that you use more data than you would back home.  So you might want to consider adding extra data upfront.

Finally, should you need to call Australia, you should add on the International Landline Call Pack (if you only need to call Australian landline numbers) or the International Mobile Call Pack (should you need to call Australian mobiles and landlines).
