Yes - you can order the sim card as far in advance as you want. In fact that's probably a good idea as you'd be surprised at how many customers seem to leave it to the last minute and get into all sorts of a panic!
For phone sim cards, we send the sim card to you approximately 5-10 working days prior to the departure date you specify in your order. This is because we're restricted by AT&T as to how far in advance the sim card can be activated before it must be recharged. The USA mobile number is allocated only when the sim card is activated.
If you're not travelling to the USA immediately, and require your USA phone number and/or the USA sim card immediately, we can do this but it requires us to immediately recharge your sim card (but your plan still commences on the date you specify in the order as your departure date). As a result, this means that if we tell you your USA phone number and/or send the USA sim card to you more than 21 days prior to your departure date, you won't be able to get a refund should your trip to the USA be cancelled or postponed. In contrast, if we send your sim card to you as normal (that is, approximately 5-10 days prior to your departure date), and your trip is cancelled or postponed, you can receive a refund of the cost of your plan or extend the date on which your plan commences provided you notify us at least 48 hours prior to your departure date. If you do order a phone sim card in advance, and require it to be sent to you immediately, please email us at help@usaprepaidsimcard.com.au after you have submitted your order, and request your phone sim card be sent immediately.
For iPad, Tablet, USB modem or Wi-Fi Hotspot sim cards we'll dispatch it to you on the next business day, and you'll activate it closer to your departure date by following our instructions.
